Default ceej's solution for this mess..

Okay, we all know this race is getting restarted, and starting all over..

BUT, instead of redrawing for heat races, line the cars up like they finished last week..for example, roger gilliam won heat number 1, for his heat next week, he would start on the pole for heat one next Friday. Wildman finished 2nd, start him on outside of row 1 in the 2nd heat, kyle westmorland and dwight smith won heats in renegade, they start on the pole for their heat races on Friday. Donnie atkins and steven fox won theirs, they start on front row in their heats for Friday. Barbare finished 2nd, he starts 2nd for his heat race. I am not only talking about people who won their heats, I'm talking about 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th place finishers and so on..

New cars would start heat races, behind the cars that raced last week. That gives your drivers who showed up and raced a chance to start all over, where they finished heat races last week. No way to make everyone happy, but this would give the ones who earned it a chance to start up front for the new heat races..

Just a thought, and I think this would be the fairest way to do it..

And, I can't take full responsibility for it, the legend Monkey Boggs and I thought of this...

Let em know what you think...

Sltracer, you are right, cars who weren't there, needs to start behind the ones who were there, I agree 150%..but a new 2 day race is going to happen whether me, you, or anyone else likes it. I've plead case that we should just run the mains the way these supporters finished their heats. I agree..but its not going to happen, and doing it this way at least gives the drivers a chance to start up front..

as far as pure stock, that's the way they finished in their heats, regardless of who payed first..gotta do for 1, like you do for all..

And crate motors, requalify, don't care who likes it, says its unfair, blah blah blah, they only ran 2 laps, other classes ran 6..jmo

Ceej, this is the best idea yet. Its the fairest to all the drivers who came and who didnt come. For the crates you qualify them everyweek anyways. I hope Jody takes Ceej idea in considertion and i beleive that you will still have a great turnout of cars in all classes. Jody i know you have a lot on your plate but i think you have more people angry then you have people willing to race which is going to hurt your car count anyways.

Thats a greatest idea yet. That would allow new people to race yet also reward the people that was there to begin with to get the race they want also. Jody needs to check this out

This idea makes a whole lot of sense to me. It would be a win, win situation for all. Those who supported the track on the first go round get their spots for the heats (it is not the main event but compromise is needed in this situation) and the other cars who choose to show up will still get the chance to place good for the main event. (They may have to start behind those who placed to start with, but again, compromise is needed in this situation.)

Crates should just run heats like the rest of the classes, that way timing is not an issue. JMO
