Default 2009 nascar challenge

2009 NASCAR – GPS Challenge Proposed Rules*

Entry fee is $10.00 per player with maximum number of entries to be determined.

Prize money is total from entry fees, winner take all.

Weekly picks and results will be kept under this heading. Other comments should be posted in another thread.

Each player chooses one driver/car in the Top 12 in points and one driver/car outside the Top 12 each week of a NASCAR Sprint Cup race.

Each player also has the option to pick both drivers/cars from outside the Top 12.

If a player fails to pick drivers/cars for the week, the previous weeks picks will be used.

The opening round Daytona 500 is the exception to the Top 12 rule since nobody has earned any points for the season yet. So pick any two drivers/cars.

Points are awarded exactly from NASCAR scoring including point penalties for rules violations.

This is not a “Race to the Chase”; points accumulate all season.

Players are encouraged to make their picks after qualifying to avoid the possibility of their driver/car not making the race. Or simply choose from the drivers/cars with guaranteed starting spots.

Starting lineups will be posted after qualifying. Picks should be made after the posting and at least two hours prior to the start of the race.

Players can change their picks as many times as they want until two hours before the start of the race as long as they do it in the open, no PM’s.

If Player1 chooses pick “whoever Player2 picks”, and Player2 doesn’t pick that week, each player gets their own pick from the previous week. Both don’t get Player2’s picks.

Any results with errors should be brought to the attention of the scorer to be checked, verified and corrected ASAP.

OK ceej.. Sparky added you as the last entry we can take.
One other thing we talked about was....

since we got more players that we will split the pot this way

$100 for 1st place
$60 for 2nd

Since this is a democracy does anybody object to that
