I believe it was posted in the remaining schedule for the year that Crates would not be running this race day. You can bring beer (no bottles) & I think you can sit anywhere. I have been going to Cherokee for how long & just realized I dont know if there is a family section??! lol

if im not mistaken the family section is to the left of the flag stand there are signs up I just really don't remember the exact location. I can't wait to get back to Cherokee for this race it is goin to be a great race lets hope that it doesn't get to dry slick which happens in day time races I know that but would love to see the race remain a little tacky if not let the moisture come up right before the main which happens a lot too. I just hope that the drivers are safe and lets hope and pray that the track doesn't rut up like it has in the past and make for unsafe conditions and a horrible race what was it a couple of years ago that it rutted up so bad that Madden and Chupp had to run the extreme high line to keep from hitting the ruts

Tri-County has been 5.00 to get in this season for the stands and packing the house. If the dirt tracks would look at the weekly cost factor and do something about it, then they would see a bigger crowd. Greenville-Pickens and Hickory are still at 10.00.

Please don't compare Tri-County and their weekly average of 35 cars and 500 people paying $5 to get in to anything associated with the Blue Gray.

That's what I've thought ever since they dropped the money to $10k.
