1. Purchase of track $275,000.00 to $325,000.00 2. Purchase of the property required to make the track one parcel again $235,000.00 3. Sound barrier and related work for EPA and other govt groups $125,000.00 4. Complete renovation of the track proper, surface, walls, stands, restrooms, concession, lights, sound etc $250,000.00 to $450,000.00. 5. Start-up to get the track back in the black, losses for running with a fixed purse for (4) classes for 6 months $35,000.00 per night. No you can say these are high or these are crazy or whatever you want. If you have BETTER numbers plug them in and see where you would be. Remember that MOST tracks lose about $10,000.00 per night until they can build up a fan base and car count. Have a good off season, me I am working on my vintage modified for 2010. |

[COLOR="MagenWell I personally think the numbers are not far off, maybe a little high. I really think though if someone bought it and invested the money this place would take off and boom like rockets. There are not many open tracks that are doing well, but I feel if I-20 opened up again it would be wonderful. Of course I also have many many ideas for the place as others do. So, this is my 2cents worthta"][/color]

Yes it is a prime location and a few years ago would have been a great buy but thanks to the present economy and the uncertain future of the US dollar it is very hard to take operating capitol from a working operation and speculate in an unsure market place. There is not a bank in today's money system that would take a 50% risk in this type of venture. Your net worth is not a usable criteria to negotiate with a bank in today's economy.
I am sure that someone will buy it for whatever reason but that is just a hope for the future up there. Do here it is a little better due to the tax structure and not getting nailed for the extra taxes in SC. I guess when I got the poperty tax bill for a racecar I just gave up. |

WAS, no more just making ends meet. Buddys are worse off, ever hear of Berine "I made off with the money" Try a little over $7.25 mil. Not me, them I lost less but still enough to SLOW down my life.

It is amazing how much people know about a race track, that has never run one.hard work just like a job and good things happen.

Mr.45 is brian stewart that runs Modoc, and has done a great job running it.One of the best tracks around to go race. It"s about a two hour drive for me though. So how about it Brian,Let Andy run Modoc next year, and you run I-20.Sure would like to drive 30 minutes instead of 2 hours.Thank you Brian, for giving us a place to race, just wish it was closer.
