thanks for posting the times that you clocked. I don't agree with them but I do appreciate the time you took to put them on here. None of them matter now since everybody has to start over. Just remember, be careful of what you wish for. Things may not turn out any better for you the 2nd time around and sometimes its best to just keep your mouth shut. Good luck to Daddy and Scott, and I guess we'll see ya'll at the races!!!

Hey Roush - My post was not intended to offend Ph249. If someone is going to post statistical information, it would be a good thing to know who it is coming from. What was ironic about the post of "lap times" is it was Ph249's first post. If I am going to be looking at lap times, I personally would like to know who they are from and what car they are with, especially based on the topic this thread has turned into. I notice too, although the M1 is the fastest just about every week now (qualifying & mains) it has him as one of the slowest recorded. That don't mean the M1 will always be the fastest, but its weird that its shown as one of the slowest listed.
We probably won't ever know who Ph249 is. With that said, the numbers posted are parenthetical. (at least to me) I was not in the tower, I am not associated with the track staff at all. I was simply a racing fan at the track on friday, was even sitting on the grandstand side. I have my lap times in my notebook for I think 7 late models that i clocked just for the fun of it, I never clock late model, b/c I am not associated with any crate team, so I don't have alot of interest for them in relation to clocking them like i do stock cars on a lot of race nights. I don't have a need to post them, b/c my times can be just as inaccurate as anyone else using a handheld lap counters. I did however prove the M1 as fastest on my times and all the others i clocked (based on who i thought would be fastest) clocked very very close to the M1 and each other. If I clocked times very very close, they are still inaccurate and could be the difference of actual position changes, so they are pointless to post and/or discuss now. I am not sure who is the biggest complainer in this topic, but I am sure if you would be polite, Jody would allow you to come to the tower and oversee the qualifying and go from there with it. Roush, maybe someone can go in the tower and film it for us next week. LOL! That should solve all "assumptions". In all honesty, I don't think the track would try to tamper with laptimes. I don't see why they would, the fast cars are always where they are for the most part. One way or the other they finish up front or win. Last edited by BOPPER; 11-05-2009 at 11:00 AM. |

know the other person that was in the tower.the timing system has a printer on it and it prints the times as they are run.i asked him if everything was on the up and up.he told me that the times that were called out were the extact times on the print out.
