Default $10,000 NDRA Championship to be Decided November 14th at Lancaster Speedway

LANCASTER, SC – The inaugural National Dirt Racing Association (NDRA) championship will be decided on Saturday night November 14th at the historic Lancaster Speedway.
Leading the contingent into Lancaster Speedway will be Gray, GA’s Hunter Peacock. Peacock, fresh off his win in round one of the ‘NDRA Finals’ had a solid third place finish in his only trip to Lancaster this season in the ‘Johnny Arrants Memorial’ held in August. He will enter the event with a 20 point lead over home-track favorite Timbo Mangum. Winky McGee, fresh off two track championships in 2009 would like to cap off his solid season with the $10,000 title. He sits just five points behind Mangum.
“It is all going to come down to Lancaster,” said NDRA President Larry Lee. “Lancaster is one of the fastest tracks in the country and should provide a heck of a race. Everyone in the top ten in points has a real shot at the championship and it is going to be very interesting to watch it play out.”
Peacock will need to be on his game to collect the $10,000 championship as many of North and South Carolina’s top GM Performance Late Model racers are expected to be on hand. The 40 lap affair will pay $2,500 to win.
The NDRA is in its inaugural season and sanctions dirt tracks in NC, SC and VA. It was recently announced that the sanctioning body would continue its relationship with Goodyear Racing Tires into the future.
““We’re very excited about continuing our partnership with Goodyear,” said NDRA Series Director Larry Lee. “We felt that in order for us to grow, partnering up with Goodyear will be an important step.”
Also on the card for November 14th will be the Super Street, Pure Street, Crate Sportsman and Super Stock Four. The pit gate opens at 2:30 with grandstand gates opening at 3:30. The drivers meeting will be at 5:00 pm.
